STEP 4 OF 4
Step 4, Find yourself on the mountain.
One last thing before you go, and it might be the most important: wherever you are right now is supposed to feel exactly the way it feels.
Nobody told me that. So for years I thought the hard parts meant I was failing. The truth is, mastery has a map, and everyone climbs the same six stages:
Process
Year one to two
You're learning the system. It's uncomfortable. That's correct.
Practice
Years two to three
Repetition. It's boring. That's correct too.
Patience
Years three to four
Doubt peaks here. This is where most people quit, right before it turns.
Power
Years four to seven
Traction arrives. You start to trust yourself.
Passion
Years seven to ten
The work becomes enjoyable. Not before.
Purpose
Year 10 and beyond
The why crystallizes. Legacy thinking begins.
Notice what's missing from the bottom of that mountain: passion. Everyone tells you to follow your passion. I'm telling you passion follows you, it shows up after mastery, never before. You can't be passionate about a golf club you can't swing. The research agrees: competence comes first, love of the craft second.
So find yourself. What year are you in, in your business, your leadership, your healing? What stage are you standing on? Is the hard thing you're feeling right now actually failure… or is it just Patience doing what Patience does?
You've now walked the whole path. You met your genius. You met your saboteurs. You have the sentence and you have the filters. Here's the truth about what happens next:
This isn't a course you finished. It's a climb you started.
Every week I send one honest letter, one idea, one story, one hidden pattern, and one small step forward. No pitch. Just the climb.
